heres some that will get you started

GRID 18

FLASH TRAFFIC……………

AUTHENTICATE Z499781…………...

BIO HAZZARD RELEASE…………

Northwest Region, Section 12, GRID 18…

U.S. ARMY Special OPS Research, Development and Training. (SORDT)

Bio Agent “22” (experimental, classified top secret) has been released into the air through a suspected act of terrorism. (terrorists believed to be killed in explosion) Military personnel inside the base reported an explosion inside or near lab 7.

Information on “Agent 22”:
Highly toxic biological agent that once released into the air can infect anyone breathing it. Once infected the agent has a 20-30 minute incubation period before the subject becomes contagious. The agent can then be passed on through touch, breath, and human liquids. Subject becomes symptomatic within 48 hours and death occurs within 96 hours of infection.

Area of Effect:
At this time SORDT has invoked an act of self quarantine with all military personnel restricted to base. However several civilian personnel were on base at the time and cannot be accounted for at this time. Included on the list of civilians were several local sheriff and police officials as well as some general populace service workers.

Vaccine Available:
A vaccine through injection has been established as effective and is available ON BASE. However there are only 200 vaccines available with approximately 500 personnel on base. Only the base commander and the two lab facilitators know the location of the vaccine. Vaccine needs to be administered within 24 hours of infection to be effective.

Actionable items:
The ENTIRE GRID will be quarantined and cut off from the outside world. Know one is to be allowed outside the Base, or the nearby township. Once the quarantine is in place it will continue for 10 days before inspections shall commence. If anyone is found trying to leave the quarantined area, the subject or subjects shall be exterminated without question or contact. All electricity is to be cut and all communication shall be electronically jammed. Know one inside the area of effect shall be allowed contact with the outside. If the general populace is made aware of this incident mass panic may spread. And a state of marshal law will be invoked throughout the United States.

GAME INFO:

Team Names:
Alpha (Outside team) vs. Delta (Inside infected team)

Team Uniforms:
Alpha will wear US woodland or DPM woodland only. NO mix n match. (Woodland top and pants)
Delta will wear anything else. (NO WOODLAND TOPS) This should allow for those that have not yet gathered all their gear, and accommodate those that have woodland but want to play the inside forces. (OD is recommended)

Mission Profiles Simple Version:
Delta:
•Mission One: Locate vaccine
o Someone HAS to know where it is
•Mission Two: Establish Outside communications
o Power will need to be restored
•Mission Three: Exit the area (vaccinated only)
o Via any means possible

Alpha:
•Contain the GRID
•Detailed missions will be given at game time. (sorry )

There you have it…

Items I will need:
• One Automobile (yes an entire car / it will not be driven)
• Two Assistants
• One Video Recorder
• One Digital Camera

Items you SHOULD bring:
• ORANGE OR RED DEATH RAG
• BARREL PLUG OR COVER
• RADIO
• Water
• Some Snacks
• A great attitude (lets get into our respective roles and have some fun!)

Medic and Hit Rules
• When you are hit, you call "HIT" as normal, but you die in place. You must sit or lay down. Have your death rag clearly visible.
• You may call for the medic when dead, but you cannot relay other information or say anything else while wounded.
• If you remain in place for 5 minutes (your best judgement) and receive no medical attention, you can return to the CP and respawn. You cannot leave for the CP until the 5 minutes is up. (this applies to dead medics too)
• Medics can heal other medics
• 1 field medic per 12 man squad
• Only designated field medics may apply bandages
• Bandages will be supplied by game coordinators
• Non-medic live players can "drag" the wounded to the medic. This requires 1 hand be on the wounded player at all times and both players move at WALKING speed.
• Rules for Medic Role: A bandage must be removed from it's package during the time of healing, it cannot be prepared early. It can only be used once. A player can be healed an infinite amount of times. Once you run out of bandages, you're done, anyone on your team who dies has to sit for 5 minutes and then go to the CP. Only the medic can apply bandages, the medic designation cannot change during game. (but may chance during a break).

So basically, if your medic dies or you run out of bandages, you'll seriously delay your chances at obtaining objectives.

Grenade/203 Rules
Grenade rules are in effect for bunkers and building structures only. The general rule is that if a grenade object lands in the structure that you occupy, you call yourself hit (this means if 4 guys are piled into a small room, they're all dead). Only objects cleared for grenade rules can be used as grenades. This includes NON-METAL grenade replicas, and foam or nerf projectiles fired from M203 launchers. If you have an item that you're not sure would pass for a grenade, show the game coordinator and ask.

Grenades cannot be picked up and thrown back, for purposing of keeping it simple... Once it lands it explodes.

EXPLOSIVE DEVICES AND HOMEMADE PYRO ARE NOT ALLOWED. If you have simulated Airsoft grenades built for Airsoft, please clear them with the game coordinator beforehand. Be prepared to make a demonstration.

Don't be upset if others don't notice your grenade, everyone should try their best to honor these types of kills but sometimes they can go unnoticed during a firefight. This is merely a modified rule to help keep games flowing when structures are heavily fortified.

Operation Fallen Eagle

Background/Scenario Info

The following is the background info on the scenario. More details will follow here and at the game.

Uniform details:
Turkish military will wear OD (olive drab) or other non-woodland patterns, Greek military will wear woodland.

BACKGROUND:
Cyprus: Greece, Turkey Break off Talks, Hostilities seem imminent

On Nov 2004 the rival Greek and Turkish leaders of Cyprus agreed to resume direct talks on the future of the divided Mediterranean island. The agreement was seen as the best chance in years to end the deadlock, and came as European Union membership loomed for Cyprus. The lack of a settlement would mean the admission into the EU of a divided country -- part of which is occupied by another EU candidate country, Turkey.

The dispute between Cyprus's Turkish and Greek communities goes back decades and has sparked periodic outbreaks of ethnic violence.
The island has been divided since 1974, when a coup backed by Greece's military junta aimed to make Cyprus a part of Greece but ended with Turkey seizing the island's northeastern third.
The so-called Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is internationally isolated -- officially recognized only by Ankara itself -- and has suffered along with Turkey's recent economic woes.

Previous attempts at a resolution to the island's division have stalled, with the Turkish side demanding that talks give each side equal treatment. Greek Cypriots have insisted they are the legitimate government, recognized by the rest of the world. But with European Union membership beckoning for Cyprus -- which hopes to join by the end of 2005 -- efforts to settle the dispute were given new urgency. Turkey in the past, has threatened to annex the northern part of the island if Cyprus joins the EU. Greece, in turn, said it would block EU enlargement as a whole if Cyprus were not accepted with other front-runner candidate countries in 2005.

The war with Iraq has changed things:

With Cyprus seemingly on it’s way to membership in the EU, and Turkey being told it will have to wait until 2008 due in part to it’s unwillingness to allow American Troops a foothold for a Northern Invasion of Iraq. Turkey has stepped up it’s Military presence on Cyprus by adding another 30,000 troops and heavy support equipment including over 30 fighter/bomber aircraft, 50 M60A1 MBT’s, and over one hundred Armored personnel carriers. These steps were first viewed by the Greek Cypriots as just a troubled nation trying to upset the Greeks. However after breaking off talks at the UN, Turkey has moved several thousand troops into what’s known as “no mans land”. A five mile wide stretch of land which acts as a buffer, that has not been inhabited in almost thirty years.

These events have prompted a strong response by the UN and resolution 1581 was quickly passed calling for the immediate withdrawal of all Turkish troops in the buffer zone as well as reducing the troop numbers to a level prior to June 1st 2005.

The Cypriot Greeks have also responded and have moved over fifteen thousand troops up to the front lines along the buffer zone. Mainland Greece has also sent over twenty thousand troops via air and sea to the island nation along with heavy support equipment to counter Turkeys movements. Combat air patrols have been non-stop since the Turkish aggression began and both sides have stepped up Naval operations along the coastlines.

At this time it appears as though the Turkish movements may only be a ploy by Ankara simply to intimidate Athens. But The Greek Cypriots are ready for any surprises the Turkish military may have for them.

Turkish Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit called the movements “only an exercise” and that the Greeks were “over reacting”.

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice -- on a visit to Ankara today -- said the situation in Cyprus needs to be resolved quickly and peacefully, and called on the Turkish Government to follow resolution 1581 “to the letter” and if it did not, severe economic and military pressure would be applied by “the entire world”.

The Turkish government stated it would “not be bullied” by the United States or any other nation, in giving up its rights over what it considers its “sovereign land”. “We will defend our great nation at all costs, and know one, not even the United States, will get in our way.”

If you have any questions or thoughts please post them here.

More details will follow here and at the game.

Two teams and this is a version of Capture the Flag. But the judges descretly chooses one player from each team that is given both teams teammarkers. Try to choose a player that havn't had much luck during the day. Inform the teams that each team has a traitor. The game is played as Capture the Flag, but after the game has lasted for 5 minutes the traitors can change team anytime they chooses. Don't trust your teammates.

Two teams, and each team has an Officer. The goal is to eliminate the other teams Officer without getting your own killed. Ammunition might be limited. Another variant is that the Officers cant move.

Historically-Based Scenarios

Tactical Withdrawal

This is an old standby Cimmerian scenario. It is used when bones are weary and energy is low, often as a way to finish a hard day of MilSim.
The Scenario: The front line between Red Army and Blue Army has broken down. Blue Army is now in retreat. Blue Army has selected a small group of soldiers to slow Red Army advance long enough to give Blue Army a chance to reestablish a new defensive line.
The Operation: Troops are divided into two groups with the attacking group having a 2 to 1 advantage. The goal for the attacker is to get have half of it's soldiers to the designated area before time is up. The defender's goal is to prevent this. This operation is usually conducted along a certain path or trail with a boundary usually set at 50 to 100 yards on both sides of the trail.
Possible Outcomes: The Red Army completes its mission if it gets half its team to the designated area before mission time has elapsed. The Blue Army completes its mission if mission time expires before the Red Army completes its mission.
Tips: Although the defenders lack the numbers, they have the constant advantage of setting up ambushes which usually give them a high kill ratio. As in real combat, this scenario works best for the defenders if they work in pairs. Be careful not to stay in one place too long and let the enemy bypass you. Remember, your mission is to delay the enemy onslaught.

Multiple Objective
This scenario is also a Cimmerian favorite.
The Scenario: Variable.
The Operation: Two armies are evenly divided. A number of objectives are secretly placed on the field in advance. The mission is for each side to control the specific objective called out by OpCom. This may require finding it using maps, compasses, radio direction finding equipment, or satellite navigation. At the end of each time period (usually one hour), the side in control of the objective has completed their mission and moves on to the next.
